PRactice: A Community ApPRoach to PR

University of Wisconsin, Green Bay: April 9

The PRSSA Chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is thrilled to be hosting the one-day regional conference: PRactice: A Community ApPRoach to PR on Saturday, April 9. The day will begin with a “delicious” networking opportunity with our Northeast Wisconsin PRSA Sponsor Chapter: “Pancakes with the PRos.” This breakfast is complimentary with conference admission. Each attendee will receive pancakes and coffee while enjoying the company of well-established community professionals. A keynote address led by Aaron Popkey, director of public affairs from the Green Bay Packers will follow the breakfast. Then attendees will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions on how to incorporate community-focused efforts into public relations corporate strategies. A panel of experienced professionals will answer any and all public relations questions that may be looming immediately after the sessions. To close out the day, we will have a group case study competition with the potential to win prizes. This conference will allow you to take a new idea home to implement within your community. In the 10 year anniversary  of our Chapter, the University of Cincinnati is proud to be hosting the PR Grand Slam: Breaking Into the Big Leagues Regional Conference. Caffeinate Your Career

Waynesburg University: April 8–9

Coffee seems to be the preferred beverage of public relations majors across the country. It is the perfect drink to help students stay alert after all-nighters and it helps students stay on top of shifting trends and current events. Noting this, expect to fuel-up with coffee during the Caffeinate Your Career Regional Conference taking place April 8–9. The conference won’t just fuel your caffeine addiction, it will give your future career the boost it needs to succeed in the competitive industry of public relations. Throughout the conference, you will have the chance to brainstorm promotional ideas for an actual start-up company with a great mission and will have the opportunity to network with regional and national speakers that work in a variety of public relations sections.
