How to Make the Most of the PRSSA 2017 National Conference
The PRSSA National Conference is one of the best ways to enhance your education, broaden your professional network and launch your career. This year, the Conference will be in Boston Oct. 6-10. The first thing you can do to take advantage of all the Conference has to offer is register by Sept. 8. You can also make the most of your experience in Boston this fall by adding these five items to your Conference checklist:
Network with professionals
Are you anxious about finding a job after college? By attending the Conference, you will have the opportunity to network with speakers and other professionals who can guide you in the right direction.
Network with peers
Conference brings over 1,000 enthusiastic and dedicated public relations students together from all over the world. While it is important to engage with professionals, make sure to connect with your fellow attendees. You will find your network opening doors all across the country.
Engage on social media
In order to meet fellow attendees and join the conversation about Conference, make sure to post on social using the hashtag #PRSSANC. Social media is a great way to find friends, especially if you are traveling to Conference alone. Stay at the Boston Park Plaza
The PRSSA 2017 National Conference will take place in the Boston Park Plaza. By staying at the hotel, you will be right in the middle of the action and have a better chance of being first in line for the breakfast buffet! The room rate is $239 per room per night, and the deadline to make a reservation is Sept. 8.
Attend PRSA General Sessions
The PRSA International Conference will take place down the street at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. By attending the PRSSA National Conference, you are invited to attend the PRSA General Sessions. This year, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock and best-selling author Jay Baer will be speaking.
