We have all been asked the most daunting question for college students: “What are you going to do with your life with your degree?” This question is very overwhelming considering how vast the options are in our field. There are opportunities for public relations specialists in every line of work, from public utilities to fashion to sports and more. As an underclassman, the real question should be: “What interests you?” Finding your PR niche that makes work enjoyable is the cornerstone to a successful future.
Rhy Wiethe is a sophomore studying public relations with minors in French, English and vocal performance at West Virginia University. Wiethe is currently the blog coordinator for the WVU Chapter of PRSSA but has been selected to be the PR director and event coordinator for the 2020-2021 semester.
