Embracing the Past for a Promising Future- Go PRSSA!

Thank you to all that made National Conference a huge success! The connections we made, and the memories we shared in Philadelphia will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

PRSSA has made many leaps and bounds over the past 40 years; and fortunately many of us were there to experience our Society be recognized.

National Conference brought together many of the thought leaders of our industry. From listening to Rich Jernstedt of Fleishman-Hillard, to being welcomed by PRSA Chairman and CEO Rhoda Weiss, all of us in PRSSA are thankful to have such connections.

It is clear to see the shifting of attention from traditional public relations to the fast and exciting public relations. There were a number of sessions that focused on new and social media, as well as sessions where professionals showed their best practices in new and social media in their respective specialties.

And let us not forget our parent society PRSA. How rewarding and exciting is it to see so many practitioners that love what they do? On my flight back to Elon University, I had the pleasure of talking to a PRSA member for nearly an hour about public relations. The pure enjoyment in her voice as she talked about what she did was so refreshing.

Members of PRSA and PRSSA: what did you enjoy about National Conference? What interesting or exciting stories are you willing to share? If you did not attend National Conference, what are you most looking forward to during our 40th anniversary, or for PRSA, your 60th anniversary?
