How did you arrive at your conference theme and what can members expect to see at this conference?
Get to the Point is all about helping students reach their goals in the PR industry. Whether that be focusing on internships or a certain area of study, there are so many things that a PR student can aim for and we want to help them “Get to the Point” of their career. The Conference name also ties in one of the greatest landmarks in Point State Park — a fountain that locals “The Point.”
Is your conference virtual or in-person? If it’s virtual, what are some of the platforms being used?
In-Person. We want our attendees to fully experience the city of Pittsburgh and all that it has to offer.
Tell me about the speaker/session that excites you the most. Why should members tune in for this?
The Young Professionals Panel is always one of my favorite portions of our Conference. Every college student wants advice from people in the industry, hearing from professionals in the industry that were college students not too long ago is always a great way to learn.
Do you have any planned networking events? How will your conference allow members to connect?
We are working to pull together a networking event in which students can not only network with each other but also with professionals in the industry.
How can members make the most of their conference experience?
Be ready to network! Our Conference is bringing in some of the best PR professionals that Pittsburgh has to offer. Take advantage of the chance to speak with these seasoned professionals (and potential employers) to learn how you can “Get to the Point” of your career.

We are so excited to be able to host the 2022 District Conference and are hoping that students are able to come together and better themselves in their knowledge of the PR industry.
