Storytelling isn’t just about sharing experiences. It’s about purpose. By sharing my feelings of loneliness and how I overcame them, I could connect with the audience and show it’s never too late to get involved and build meaningful connections.
Contar historias no se trata solo de compartir experiencias, sino de hacerlo con propósito. Al compartir mis sentimientos de soledad y cómo los superé, pude conectar con la audiencia y mostrar que nunca es tarde para involucrarse y construir vínculos significativos.
Ser parte de la educación superior hoy significa más que abrazar la complejidad: significa defenderla. Significa comprometerse con el aprendizaje permanente en un campo que exige agilidad y autenticidad, incluso cuando los sistemas que hacen posible ese aprendizaje atraviesan grandes desafíos.
Being in higher education today means more than embracing complexity, it means defending it. It means committing to lifelong learning in a field that demands agility and authenticity, even when the systems that make that learning possible are facing significant challenges.
This cyclical, mutual communication pattern is the proper communications paradigm. Our responsibility is not just to inform the public on behalf of our organization, but also to inform our organization on behalf of the public.
Slowing down isn’t about losing momentum. It’s about maintaining it. It’s about coming back to yourself so you can keep showing up — for your work, your peers and your future self.
