
Lights on! PRSSA members will get to experience public relations in entertainment LIVE at Mic Drop: PR in Entertainment. This event, hosted by Temple University PRSSA, will gather industry professionals to explore the thriving scene of entertainment PR and communications.
Taking place on March 27–28 at Annenberg Hall on Temple University’s main campus, this two-day event will explore all aspects of live entertainment. From theater and dance to comedy and music, you’ll leave this event with newfound knowledge and appreciation for entertainment PR.
On Friday evening, alongside refreshments, the full-service independent music PR firm Atom Splitter PR will host a panel. With experience publicizing high profile artists like Alice Cooper, Falling in Reverse and Killswitch Engage, founder Amy Sciarretto and publicist Rachel Rosenberg will discuss the ins and outs of music publicity with attendees.
Saturday will begin with breakfast alongside Philadelphia PRSA members. Attendees will then participate in two breakout sessions prior to lunch.
Following lunch, keynote speaker Victoria Hamersky, owner of VH MGMT Artist Management Group, will discuss the tools needed to craft the perfect story and message for clients within the entertainment industry.
The day will continue with two additional breakout sessions before concluding with remarks from PRSSA National Vice President of Professional Standards Talia Sinclair. As part of its community service component, the conference will also support North Broad Renaissance, a nonprofit devoted to the revitalization of North Broad Street in Philadelphia.
