PRSSA National Conference– What Are Your Looking Forward To?

As our members prepare for the PRSSA 2012 National Conference in San Francisco in October, members of the 2012-2013 National Committee shared what about the Conference they are most excited about.
“I am really looking forward to seeing members engage in the different sessions. We have some awesome speakers and plenty of opportunities to learn about all aspects of the industry.”
–Kate Ryan, Vice President of Member Services
“I’m excited about the Conference, but I’m also excited about being back in San Francisco. It’s such a great place to visit with a ton of culinary delights! With regard to the Conference, it’s always exciting for me to see all the eager young professionals so jazzed about their profession and professional development. I get a smile on my face on Thursday and it never leaves until I’m outbound on Tuesday!”
–Robert “Pritch” Pritchard, APR, Fellow PRSA, National Faculty Adviser
“For National Conference, I’m most excited about seeing friends from other Chapters, making new connections and meeting more Chapter members and leaders in PRSSA. The sessions and speakers will be very engaging and will be discussing important, timely topics and the planned events will be very fun! I’ve never been to San Francisco, so I’m also interested in seeing what the city has to offer and learn more about the local culture.”
–Lauren Gray, National President
“I look forward to personally meeting the PRSSA leadership team and Advisers, and seeing what the future of public relations holds in the eyes of our young, emerging professionals.”
–Elizabeth Pecsi, APR, Fellow PRSA, PRSA Board Liaison
“National Conference is my favorite National event! I’m looking forward to interacting with all of the students and professionals who attend –  and, of course, San Francisco. It’s such an interesting city and the Bay is beautiful. I’m also excited to attend the sessions because there is so much you can learn in a short amount of time and the Saturday keynote speaker is an advocate for one of my favorite social media platforms. I can’t wait to see my PRSSA friends and make new ones!”
–Lauren Rosenbaum, Vice President of Public Relations
“I’m most excited about hearing from the wide range of professionals that will be there and seeing all of my friends I’ve grown close to over the years. Not to mention, being in the city of startups, I can finally try all those new iPhone apps and businesses that I don’t have access to in the rural Midwest. However, in all seriousness, the highlight of Conference will be: what kind of tie will National Professional Adviser Don Egle wear?”
–Zane Riley, Vice President of Advocacy
“National Conference is where I fell in love with all things public relations. I am excited to have the opportunity to go back and meet new professionals and PRSSA/PRSA members. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and to combine that with National Conference is the best of both worlds. And I of course can’t wait to see all my PRSSA friends.”
–Danielle Stewart, Vice President of Professional Development
“The energy, enthusiasm, and exciting ideas were incredible at the PRSSA Leadership Rally in June. I can’t imagine what happens when 10 times that number of young professionals gather in one place to learn, share and inspire. Looking forward to finding out!”
–Geri A. Evans, APR, Fellow PRSA, PRSA Board Liaison to PRSSA
“I am looking forward to what I feel will be one of the most life changing experiences in my undergrad. The friends, professionals and mentors I have met through PRSSA will probably double after this National event. I am excited to see the PRSSA students of our generation showcase their outstanding professionalism, talents and public relations experience in San Francisco!”
–Hilary Jurinak, Vice President of Internships/Job Services
”It is amazing to watch so many young professionals collaborate with one another. The energy is unprecedented and the opportunity to learn is unparalleled. Students at National Conference are truly positioning themselves and their Chapters to win. I look forward to meeting all those attending.”
–Don K. Egle, ABC, APR, National Professional Adviser
“The wide array of session topics that provide in-depth analysis from industry leaders goes far beyond what you would ever hear in the classroom. I’m also excited for the opportunity to meet new members and see everyone gain new ideas and tactics from others on how to effectively improve their own Chapter.”
–Brian Price, Vice President of Chapter Development
“I am excited for the opportunity to meet with new members and see the enthusiasm everyone has for PRSSA. Everyone at the PRSSA National Conference is so involved and so excited to be there – which makes this Conference one of the most valuable ones, in my opinion.”
