We want to make all the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">right<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> choices, at the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">righ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">t time and have order in our <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">right<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> life. We think we must graduate, get a job and only have happy feelings all the time. This is not how life is or \u201csuppose-to\u201d be.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The larger questions we must ask ourselves are \u201cwho am I?\u201d and \u201chow do I live a happy life?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to do this, we must start on the path of authenticity and get to know ourselves. This is done by asking real questions to ourselves and staying true to the answers we receive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAuthenticity isn\u2019t a skill, it is a component of yourself,\u201d Grossman said. \u201cWhen we can effectively communicate that authenticity, it becomes a super power.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to know our authentic selves, we must first know ourselves, be ourselves and have quiet courage. This is done by being curious, embracing who we are and not worrying about things we can\u2019t control. As we continue strengthening our authentic selves we won\u2019t live the \u201csuppose-to\u201d life, instead a happy authentic one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Takeaways:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Know yourself. Don\u2019t wish you were someone else, just be who you are. Try on what others do to find yourself but at the end of the day you have to decide to be who you want to be.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be yourself. Get to know yourself and be consistent with your values. Don\u2019t be a chamaeleon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have quiet courage. Be truthful as you relate to yourself and to others.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be curious. Ask questions about the world and others and be aware. We become better listeners when we have more curiosity. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Embrace who you are. Let go of being perfect and own who you are. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t worry about things you can\u2019t control. You have power in your choices and you have more choices than you might think.
