You survived high school and were accepted to the college of your dreams. Exciting, right? Exciting is an understatement. Looking back on that moment, you\u2019ve probably never felt more like Harry Potter in your life.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/4ZZZqK0fObp72\" height=\"100\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>2. But then, reality sets in. You\u2019re interested in pursuing public relations as a major and have no idea what public relations actually <i>is<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/CPskAi4C6WLHa\" height=\"228\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Lucky for you, your school has a PRSSA Chapter to help you out.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/6CqjuToJMOa6k\" height=\"285\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>4. You go to your first meeting and probably sat in the back of the room, hoping to not draw attention to yourself.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/jUwpNzg9IcyrK\" height=\"375\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>5. However, you\u2019re hooked and keep coming back.<\/p>\n<p>When you come back to campus for sophomore year, you feel a little more confident. No more sitting in the back of the meeting for you! Not only are you an active member in PRSSA, but you\u2019re going to the PRSSA National Conference.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/bCeeeft36PK0w\" height=\"281\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>6. You get to Conference and you can hardly contain yourself\u2014you\u2019re ready for whatever is thrown at you.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/tcnNxjjpw2JC8\" height=\"500\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>7. Suddenly, everything finally makes sense. You truly understand what public relations <i>is<\/i>, and your mind is blown. Especially since the whole \u201cnetworking\u201d thing kind of confuses you and you\u2019ve never received so many business cards in your entire life.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/FPt4fI9BvUOXu\" height=\"292\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>8. You\u2019re so motivated by everything you\u2019ve learned that sophomore year flies by and before you know it, junior year has begun.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/kR0S22SGVDm4o\" height=\"260\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>9. But you\u2019re not ready. You have to find the PERFECT summer internship and you spend most of your free time looking for it.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/12TufGliuamfaE\" height=\"362\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>10. The rest of your free time you spend complaining to your PRSSA buddies about how tired and exhausted you are.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/12X4BYMfgeU30k\" height=\"333\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>11. And trying to wrap your head around everything you have to do for the Bateman Case Study Competition because you don\u2019t even know where to start.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/KEPQfFa3CtzCE\" height=\"245\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>12. When you become a senior, the shock finally sets in. You can\u2019t stay in PRSSA forever.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/13TLPwMPomNPeU\" height=\"329\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>13. You have to start applying for jobs, which means filling out endless applications for hours and customizing your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and cover letters for each specific employer.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/9Www8IKHh720\" height=\"215\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>14. Admit it. You\u2019re scared. But halfway through the year you realize that this isn\u2019t the end\u2014it\u2019s just the beginning.
