PRSA\u2019s industry advocacy campaign, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prsa.org\/Intelligence\/BusinessCase\">Business Case for Public Relations<\/a>, shapes the way people value public relations\u00a0 in every form of business. Future public relations professionals should learn the importance of organized business tactics in order to create more efficient and effective business plans. But fellow co-workers should also understand the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prsa.org\/Intelligence\/BusinessCase\/Communicating_Public_Relations_Value\">value of the public relations department<\/a> in order for the company to benefit from those plans.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Knowing these things as a professional will ultimately advance the general understanding of public relations in the business world.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Understanding measurement of public relations programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Facilitate a better understanding and appreciation of the public relations profession.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Communicate the value of public relations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Improve incorrect attitudes and perceptions about the practice of public relations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Arm yourself with information on the latest industry trends, research and techniques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To become a better public relations professional, you must first clearly understand the reasons for its existence.
