While there, I went to a session about how to excel in<br \/>\nyour interview. Most of us have heard the basics: research the<br \/>\ncompany, have a strong handshake, be ready for questions like \u201ctell me<br \/>\nabout yourself.\u201d When the speaker moved on to tips for phone<br \/>\ninterviews, my ears perked up and my pen scribbled furiously. The<br \/>\ntruth is, many of us will be interviewing for jobs not so close to<br \/>\nhome, which will require that scary phone interview. Here are some of<br \/>\nthe tips that were shared:<\/p>\n<p>* Keep your resume in clear view. Your interviewers will be asking<br \/>\nquestions about your resume, and you have the ability to reference it<br \/>\nwhile you discuss your experience.<br \/>\n* Keep a pen and paper ready. It\u2019s always a good thing to have,<br \/>\nyou may think of questions to ask later or just want to make notes<br \/>\nabout something interesting that was said.<br \/>\n* Keep a glass of water ready.
