Cat Kalogeros \u2014 Vice President of Brand Engagement <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your role? Please give a brief overview of your role and responsibilities. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As vice president of brand engagement I am in charge of the Progressions blog and PRSSA Podcasts. I act as the editor-in-chief for Progressions and lead an awesome subcommittee that contributes to the blog on a monthly basis. I mainly write, edit and recruit for this part of my position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRSSA Podcasts gives me the opportunity to speak with top industry professionals and Chapter leaders across the nation. I get to come up with interview questions, meet with guests and edit it all together so you get athe polished podcast episode to enjoy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does a typical day in your position look like?  <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My weekly tasks include editing and publishing pieces to the Progressions blog. Podcast work is a bit more sporadic and occurs throughout the month. As many members of National Committee have stated, no day is the same. With that said, I can say that I talk to my National Committee friends every single day. That is a beautiful constant that carries us from day to day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has been your favorite part of serving on the National Committee?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with the powerhouses on the National Committee has been amazing. These wonderful, dedicated student leaders have become my biggest cheerleaders on the professional and personal level. I\u2019m so grateful that PRSSA brought us together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has been the most challenging aspect of your position?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of my work is more behind-the-scenes so I don\u2019t always get to connect with Chapter members on a personal level. I am working to chat more with my awesome authors, though. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is something you are most proud of achieving in this role? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve had so many incredible opportunities as a member of National Committee that I\u2019m proud of. I\u2019d have to say my personal growth has been my biggest source of pride. Taking the plunge to run for this position took a lot for me, I didn\u2019t trust my own capabilities and leadership skills despite my qualifications. As many of you may know, it is hard to fight imposter syndome. This position has helped me grow in so many ways, including in confidence. As much as the position has helped me, I truly believe I have helped the position too. I\u2019m so proud of what National Committee has given me and what I have given it in return. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice would you like to share with your future successor? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring your creativity and passion to the job! You have the power to create amazing things if you take the chance to do so. Let your creativity and passion shine, it will benefit the Society. Share your ideas even if they don\u2019t fall under your position. The National Committee is a team of strong leaders with the same goal (and same love for PR) so never feel restricted by your title. This Society is what it is today because of the unique ideas that past and present National Committee members brought to the table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
