Give us a brief description of what you do in your role.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the VP of digital communications, I help manage the PRSSA National social media accounts. In this role, I also follow and promote the PRSSA Style Guide and Branding and Media Strategy Guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What does a typical day look like for you as a PRSSA National Committee member?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A typical day as the VP of digital communications usually consists of checking the content calendar and\/or our scheduling app to make sure any post scheduled for that day is on track to publish. Other than that, I\u2019m researching content, designing content for the next month, or collaborating with my subcommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What has been your favorite project\/initiative to work on so far?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are so many to choose from, but I loved working on the content for National Native American Heritage Month with Haniya Shariff. This was the first time PRSSA officially celebrated this month, and I learned so many new ways to be an advocate for Native Americans. I also loved the launch of our TikTok account and am excited to watch it flourish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What has been the most challenging aspect of your role so far?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most challenging aspect of my role is time management and keeping up with how fast the industry is evolving. It feels like every week new trends pop up, and sometimes those trends become the best posts. Trying to keep posts within our brand but also make them appealing to our students can be challenging, however, I like a good challenge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What advice would you share with your future successor?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think my position can be a little intimidating, but once you get settled, you\u2019ll start to get in a groove. You blink and the next thing you know you\u2019re halfway through your term. Some other tips are to ask for help if you need it and create a schedule that works best for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anything else you would like to share?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want a position with a lot of social media management and content creation experience, this is the position for you. In his free time, Ferenchak can be found obsessing over the latest gadget or video game, exploring a coffee shop with friends, or going on a trail run. He hopes to elevate the voices of all PRSSA members through the organization\u2019s various brand platforms.
